Property Room


The Greene County Property and Evidence Room is supervised by Major Kevin Spaulding; it employs one civilian Property and Evidence Custodian and two civilian Property and Evidence Clerks. The staff utilizes training by the International Association for Property and Evidence (IAPE) and attend various seminars concerning the proper handling and storage of all types of evidence.

The Property Room is a secure holding facility for all evidence associated with all Greene County Sheriff's Office cases. Access is very limited once it is logged into the Property and Evidence Room. The staff ensures all evidence is properly packaged to allow for court presentation and laboratory analysis if required. They also:

However, property will NOT be returned without an appointment!

We only handle property from cases involving the Greene County Sheriff's Office.

If your case is being handled by another agency, we will not have that property nor do we have the authority to make another agency release it to you. You will have to contact that specific investigating agency to make arrangements to have any property returned to you.
